102.3 The Max To Hold Their Annual Pinktober 2015 Concert Featuring Rachel Platten And Special Guests Eastern High School Choir

Alpha Media Louisville,KY announced that 102.3 The Max will be holding their annual breast cancer benefit concert “Pinktober” this Friday at Hard Rock Café.

Alongside this year’s headliner, Rachel Platten, a special performance has been added to join Rachel on the stage. The acapella choir from Eastern High School, “E Major” will help Rachel Platten perform her #1 single “Fight Song” as well as her new single “Stand By You”.  The choir went viral early in October when a video of their performance of “Fight Song” was featured on 102.3 The Max. Following the success of the online video, E Major began a fundraising effort in honor of Pinktober with a goal of raising $1 for every view the video gained to be donated at Friday’s event.

In addition to the performances by Eastern High School’s “E Major” and headliner Rachel Platten, the concert held at Hard Rock Café on 4th Street Live will feature national artists Michael Franti and Allen Stone. Proceeds from the night’s ticket sales and live auction will go to directly benefit Susan G. Komen of Louisville. Some tickets are still available through themaxfm.com, but the show is expected to sell out prior to the show on Friday October 16th.

Sarah Jordan, Program director for 102.3 The MAX said of the event, “ We could not be more excited to welcome such a wonderful headlining talent like Rachel Platten, given the spirit of her #1 Hit Song ‘Fight Song.’ The addition of the EHS Choir only goes to show just how inspirational Rachel Platten’s song has become to people of all ages!”
