Alpha Media, Amarillo Supports Boots vs. Badges Blood Drive

AMARILLO, TX, June 13, 2016 – Alpha Media, Amarillo helped Coffee Memorial Blood Center kick off of the Boots vs. Badges Blood Drive on Friday, June 24th.

The blood drive collected 332 units of blood and had 390 donors. Local law enforcement and first responders cooked for the community, setup up emergency vehicles for display and tours. Amarillo stations KGNC-FM, KGNC-AM, and KXGL-FM encouraged the community to come out and donate blood.

Alpha Media, Amarillo Market Manager, Robert Mueller commented on the announcement, “The Coffee Memorial Blood Center is a vital organization and the work they do along with our amazing community giving blood, saves lives. Thanks for the partnership and to all the area First Responders who spent the day volunteering. Can’t wait to bust the record next year!”

“Alpha Media, Amarillo has been a great media partner for Coffee Memorial!  The Boots vs. Badges Kick Off Event was an incredible success!  We missed our all-time, one-day record for the blood center by only 6 units…We had 46 new donors and 29 O-negative donors which are critical especially in the summer. We are putting this in the books as one our best promotional drives this far! It makes all the difference in the world having a partner who takes ownership of the event and invests in the success of our organization,” remarked Suzanne Talley, Coffee Memorial Director of Marketing and Public Relations.
