Alpha Media, Far East Bay 95.3 KUIC’s 12th Annual “Hope Begins with a Meal” Radiothon!

November 19, 2015 – Alpha Media Far East Bay, CA announced that 95.3 KUIC will have their 12th Annual Radiothon, “Hope Begins with a Meal,” this Thursday, November 19th from 5AM to 7PM. The radiothon supports Mission Solano in Fairfield, a local rescue mission serving the homeless and poverty stricken by focusing on their spiritual, physical, emotional, and vocational needs. They provide emergency shelter, long-term residential, and special programs for veterans, which is special for our area as we share it with Travis AFB.

KUIC’s John Young will kick off the Radio-thon at 5am with Mission Solano’s Executive Director, Ron Marlette. The day will be filled with numerous guests in-studio with Ron Brown and Donna Perry, all stepping up to show their support for Mission Solano. You’ll even be able to catch John, Ron and Donna answering the phones throughout the day, taking your donations.

It only costs $1.79 to provide a meal and care at Mission Solano, where a meal and a few kind words can change your whole outlook on life. To donate, call 707.425.FOOD (3363) on the day of the Radio-thon.

Alpha Media Senior VP/Market Manager, Phil D’Angelo commented on the announcement, “We’re proud to host the Radio-thon, now going into its 12th year here at KUIC. Mission Solano does so much for those in need and the community as a whole. It’s our way of giving back to our hometowns.”

“Mission Solano has over 175 individuals staying with us every single night of the week. You can provide the meal that brings hope to Mission Solano,” Solano’s Executive Director, Ron Marlette remarked.
