FM News 101 KXL’s Lars Larson takes part in the White House’s First “Skype Seats” Press Briefing
PORTLAND, OR, January 31, 2017 – Alpha Media, Portland is proud to announce conservative radio talk show host Lars Larson of FM News 101 KXL’s “The Lars Larson Show,” will take part in the White House’s first “Skype Seats” for the daily press briefing on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. This comes as the White House announced the first four panelists selected for the launch of “Skype Seats,” aimed at allowing individuals outside of Washington, DC, to participate in the daily White House press briefings.
“For a long time I wished I had the opportunity to ask questions at a White House briefing.” Lars Larson said, “In fact I’d love to ask questions every day, and years ago I actually inquired about what it would take to get a one or two-day pass to go to the White House briefing. I would be willing to fly to DC and do that, but you’d only get that one opportunity and not the daily opportunity the major media get. Well, when the Trump team came in and said ‘we’re going to open up some Skype seats,’ I thought it would be great to be one of those people. I never expected we’d get the call from the White House yesterday saying ‘are you really interested? Do you want to be one of the first Skype questioners?’ I said of course I would be. Then they called this morning and said ‘it’s confirmed, you’ll get your question in sometime around 11 a.m., 2 p.m. East Coast time, during the daily briefing.’ They said ‘we will have you there by Skype and as soon as Sean Spicer mentions it at today’s briefing, you can talk about it to the public,’ which I’ve been doing now. The tough thing is that I have to come up with one question and you know me, I like to ask a thousand questions. If I had the time I’d ask a thousand questions every day. But I have to think of the one question you ask to the President’s spokesman.”
Bruce Collins, Talk Operations Manager for Alpha Media, Portland commented, “I could not be happier for Lars. He is truly the hardest working talk host that I have ever had the pleasure working with. Talk radio is his passion and it shows each and every day.”
