KFOR Brings Home 5 Awards from the Nebraska Broadcasters Association

LINCOLN, NE, August, 24, 2016 – Alpha Media, Lincoln is proud to announce that KFOR was honored with five Excellence in Broadcasting Awards during the Nebraska Broadcasters Association Convention on August 17th. They took home two gold awards for Spot News and Service to Agriculture, as well as three silver awards for Best Newscast, Service to Children, and Service to Government, Business, Industry, and Education. KFOR continues to be the most awarded commercial news radio station in Lincoln.

Jeff Motz and Chris Goforth won the gold award in Spot News with their severe weather coverage of 2015. Motz also won the silver award for Best Newscast along with Charlie Brogan. Dale Johnson won the gold award for Service to Agriculture with his “Lincoln Live” discussion about the future of Ag Journalism. Johnson also won silver for Service to Children with “Spotlight on Child Abuse Prevention Month” and Service to Government, Business, Industry, and Education with the “Student Loan Help Center.” During the convention, Joy Patten, Director of Sales was elected as the Chairperson of the Board of the Nebraska Broadcasters Association for the 2016-2017 year.
