Savannah Realigns Programming Management

Alpha Media Savannah/Hilton Head announced today that they have realigned the programming management team, promoting Rob Walker to Director of Operations and Programming, Gabe Reynolds to Director of Digital Content, TC Michaels to Morning Drive Host and Creative Director for WXYY and Jess Jennings to Assistant Program Director for WUBB and WGCO.

Alpha Media Executive VP of Programming, Scott Mahalick commented on the announcement, “These moves are truly a one plus one equals three scenario. I am proud of our Savannah leadership. We are set for an amazing future.”

Alpha Media Savannah/HHI VP/Market Manager Gigi South said, “This is the perfect way to align our super creative team to better utilize their strengths and to help them reach their individual goals.”

Alpha Media Savannah/HHI Director of Operations and Programming, Rob Walker said, “I’m really excited to lead such a talented team.  Thanks for the support from Gigi South, Bill McElveen, Scott Mahalick and Phil Becker.  I’m looking forward to even more growth of our live and local products.”  Rob Walker has been Program Director of WXYY and WRWN since September 2014.  His previous experience includes stops in St. Louis, Seattle, Boston and Little Rock.

Gabe Reynolds just celebrated his sixth anniversary with the cluster and continues to program WFXH.  Gabe hosts the award winning afternoon show, The Work Release Program with his partner Marshall.  “I’m very excited to be able to focus my energy on growing our digital content offerings and pass off all weekly reports to Rob,” commented Reynolds.

TC Michaels has been part of the Alpha Savannah/Hilton Head team for two years with duties including Program Director and Afternoon Host for WUBB, BOB 106.9 and WGCO 98.3 Hank FM.   Prior to Savannah/HHI, TC’s radio adventures have taken him to markets including Los Angeles, Nashville and Atlanta.  TC Michaels added, “I’d like to thank Larry Wilson, Bob Proffitt, Scott Mahalick, Phil Becker, Bill McElveen, Gigi South and Rob Walker for this extraordinary opportunity to host mornings on Y100.  I am proud to be living the Top 40 lifestyle in Savannah/HHI.  At Y100 we’re more than hosts, we’re fans along with the listeners, living the experience together!”

Joining the cluster just under a year ago from Idaho Falls, Jess Jennings has won over listeners and staff and is a great addition to Alpha’s programming team.
