Alpha Media, Cameron-Bethany Raises Over $14,000 with Roy Eagan Camp Quality Radiothon

CAMERON, MO, April 18, 2017 – Alpha Media, Cameron-Bethany is proud to announce their 32nd Annual Roy Eagan Camp Quality Radiothon raised over $14,000 for children with cancer. Funds raised will send 20 kids to Camp Quality this summer.

Camp Quality is designed for kids with cancer, allowing them a normal camp experience. Over the one-week duration, the camp is staffed with many volunteers including doctors and nurses to assist the children when needed.

Each spring KKWK & KAAN-FM pre-empt regular programming for a day and talk almost every minute from 6am to 7pm about Camp Quality. The directors of the Camp as well as many of their volunteers and even past campers come in to the studios to be a part of the radiothon. The stations of Alpha Media, Cameron-Bethany have helped raise over $400,000 for Camp Quality throughout the 32 years.

Alpha Media, Cameron-Bethany Market Manager, Doug Schmitz commented on the announcement, “Each year we are amazed at the donations, large and small, from virtually every town in our station’s coverage area. The people of northwest Missouri and southern Iowa continue to show great levels of generosity and support for Camp Quality!”
