Alpha Media Honored with Spirit of Hope Award
Alpha Media, Portland has been honored with the 2018 Spirit of Hope Award by the American Cancer Society.
Alpha Media was recognized for epitomizing the core values of the American Cancer Society as demonstrated by commitment, compassion, integrity, and unwavering dedication. For more than ten years, Alpha has selflessly contributed an extraordinary amount of time, talent, and resources to help fund the programs and services that benefit patients every day.
Mitch Elliot, Real Men Wear Pink participant and KINK-FM morning show co-host commented on the announcement, “I am so honored to be a part of the Alpha Portland Team. It is our mission to give as much back to our community as we possibly can and I am thrilled our management team gives us the tools and ability to raise funds for causes as important as The American Cancer Society.”
“I feel so blessed to work with Mitch and the American Cancer Society. I lost my mother to breast cancer when she was only 57. We are so lucky to be part of the Alpha Pack which gives us the ability to raise money for such a great cause,” added Corey Foley, KINK-FM morning show co-host.
“Alpha is a strategic partner in the fight against cancer who has demonstrated their commitment to attacking cancer at every angle by contributing time, talent and resources that are crucial to the Society’s life-saving mission. We rely heavily on partnerships such as these, as they take cancer prevention and detection awareness out of the medical office and into our everyday lives. Their outstanding support is helping to ensure cancer messaging reaches the community with a potentially life-saving wake-up call,” remarked Gretchen Groves, American Cancer Society Director, Communications.
