Live 95.5 Gives Portland A Huggie At Night

Alpha Media Portland, OR announced today, Dan “Huggie” Amsden will join Live 95.5 (KBFF-FM) nights (Weeknights M-F 7p-Mid) starting Monday, March 2, 2015.

Huggie was born and raised in the quaint, little town of Beecher, Illinois (Southern ‘burbs’ of Chicago). At 18, he moved to Minneapolis to earn a degree in Audio Production, while also fronting a band called “Touch Me! Touch You!”.  After earning his degree, Huggie decided to follow his passion and relocate to both Vegas and L.A. to write and produce music. Eventually, Huggie settled in just Vegas to work at KVEG Hot 97.5.  Then, Nights at 103.3 Kiss FM (Now 103.5 Kiss FM) in Boise, Idaho was his next stop. Huggie has been in Boise for 2 years, as the Night and Afternoon drive host/Imaging Director. He is very active in the Boise community volunteering at St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital and The Treasure Valley Schools mentor program. He is excited to bring his live and local spirit to Portland.

Alpha Media VP of Programming, Phil Becker commented on the announcement, “We are very fortunate to be adding Huggie to Portland’s fastest growing radio station. I’m thankful that the Alpha culture encourages hires like Huggie and we can’t wait to watch him get weird in one of the world’s greatest cities.”

“Wow!  Honestly, I am SUPER GEEKED, like I’m going Urkel right now; suspenders, flooded pants, striped shirt and all.  Truly GEEKED to bring my show to PDX!  No, but seriously, I am beyond excited to have my weirdness accepted into the team at Live 95.5 and can’t wait to be in Portland!  Nights on Live 95.5 will never be the same.  Portland, let’s get weird together!  I love your face!” Huggie remarked.

Huggie has a special message for you…..
