Alpha Media Waynesville/Lebanon – The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame will honor another class of inductees next month in Springfield. Among those to be enshrined is Alpha Media’s Sports Director in Lebanon, Kevin Stubblefield. Kevin is now in his 25th year of broadcasting at KJEL and 40th year of broadcasting overall. Kevin is a Stoutland native and Missouri State Graduate. Having broadcast close to 4000 games over his career, he will represent the media category in recognition of his contributions to the industry.

Kevin is also a member of the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame and was previously
inducted into the Lebanon, Missouri Area Sports Hall of Fame.

Market Manager, Mike Edwards, noted that Kevin Stubblefield is one of the most respected sports authorities in Missouri. His dedication to supporting high school athletics has earned the respect of players, parents, and coaches.
“When you hear Kevin on a sports broadcast, regardless of the team, he is always positive about the players and their performance. Coaches and Athletic Directors from across the State of Missouri consider it an honor to
be on the air and interviewed by Kevin.”

Operations Manager, Mike Morris, worked with Kevin at KLWT in Lebanon before both came to work for KJEL. Morris notes that Kevin Stubblefield takes his sports broadcasts very seriously. He is constantly on the phone with coaches and players, and dedicates the time necessary to produce a quality broadcast. “Kevin can always be counted on to be a
professional and fair sports broadcaster.” Kevin thanks his family for their support during his 40 years of broadcasting
games. During the sports season, he would spend as many as 4 nights a week on the road, and then come back into the station at 4:00 am to do the morning show.

Kevin will join other notable sports figures going into the Missouri Hall of Fame including Tamba Hali of Kansas City Chiefs, Mizzou Running Back, Devin West, former Salem football coach Bill Schuchardt, and Central Missouri University Quarterback Scott Loveland. The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Football Luncheon will take place Wednesday, October 13th at 11 am at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds Springfield.
